Last Sunday I got up and left early, driving to the Chattahoochee river at the crossing in Roswell. Turning right back along the river I stopped a few places before ending up at a small park just north of Wellio Rd. It's a fishing spot and I was delighted by vistas both north and south. I was amused talking to the fisherman all day who appeared to be good at what they did, but I only saw one trout caught all day. They were well acquainted with the location and each other— almost like a weekly book club meeting. In any event, I did the first painting from shore fast a furiously and the second from the deck winding up in time to get home for dinner. The first with a view north is best with better light. The afternoon one shows a few kayakers heading upstream and got a little dark.
